The early flowers have deep pink-mauve tepals with pale-mauve margins and a beautiful, rich, cerise-pink bars. The later flowers are slightly smaller and lack the paler margin. The six to eight broad tepals taper to pointed tips via wavy, lightly crimped margins and the stamens have white filaments and coffee coloured anthers. It is suitable for growing in containers or planting in the garden.
