Gorgeous indigo-blue flowers that are semi-nodding and bell-shaped upon opening and then losing their bell-shape as they mature to open outward and upward. The four or five tepals are narrow at the base and their reverse has a deeper colouring along the three prominent midribs and a textured surface. A contrasting, central tuft of stamens have creamy-white filaments with pale-yellow anthers.
